Summary:
Responsible for the installation, configuration, customization and maintenance of enterprise-wide application systems.  Will ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the information systems that support core organizational functions.  Monitors, maintains and optimizes system performance utilizing systems management tools. Provides project management for key initiatives and brings a PM sensibility to all tasks.   Participates with coworkers on all IT related projects and is expected to provide cost effective business solutions based on the firm’s business model.
 
Responsibilities:

System Administration, Configuration & Customization:
  • Administration, configuration and customization of enterprise application systems and infrastructure.
  • Leads/participates in technical projects from start to finish while working within organizational change management and project management guidelines.
  • Recommend procedures for network optimization, security, reliability and availability.
System Maintenance:
  • Gauge the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems; implement strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.
  • Performing system software upgrades including planning / scheduling, testing, coordination, and maintaining integrity of the operating system environment.
  • Support network and storage environments including SAN, clustering, load balancing, multi-site VPNs, network IDS, firewalls, and application delivery/virtualization products.
  • Ensures the integrity of data with a consistent back-up (monitors completion of back-ups, ensures viability of backup data, and maintains related records)
  • Active Directory access & group/domain administration.
  • Create and maintain documentation as it relates to system configuration, mapping, processes, and service records.
  • Apply proven communication, analytical and problem solving skills to identify communicate and resolve issues to maximize the benefit of IT systems investments.
  • Assist users with problems related to network access, e-mail access and network software utilization.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Ability to install, configure, and maintain complex personal computers, networks, and/or related hardware and software.
  • Ability to develop and document repeatable standardized procedures for the administration and maintenance of firm databases.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
  • Intermediate knowledge of computer security systems, applications, procedures, and techniques.
  • Ability to develop and present end-user training programs and/or workshops.
  • Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical personnel.
  • Ability to plan, develop and coordinate multiple projects.
  • Ability to organize tasks and priorities under minimal supervision.
  • Effective and professional verbal and written communications skills.
  • Ability to deal responsibly with sensitive and confidential information in a discreet and secure manner.
  • Ability to function in a team environment.
  • Ability to participate in an on-call rotation.
Required Experience:
  • CIsco Telecom Experience and telecom experience required
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience with client/server based operating and network systems preferably based on Microsoft infrastructure.
  • Must have experience in a virtualization environment.
  • Intermediate expertise of a wide-range of computer and networking software and hardware systems and technologies related to the legal industry.
