This Developer has to be onsite by 6:00 a.m. every morning to code daily financial reports.  If you are not a morning person, this position is not for you.  Also, extreme attention to detail is necessary, so someone detail oriented and prides themselves on clean code and the quality of their work.

The Role

We are looking for a well-rounded C# Developer, who will join a financial services development team, with a main focus on debugging current problems, solving time sensitive issues, and overall development support of internal systems and support of the trading desk.

This is an opportunity to get hands-on experience with our code base, coding patterns, and development tools we use. This role will provide an opportunity for Developers interested in working with a highly collaborative and engaging tech environment. It will also require gaining business knowledge of our financial services product along with working with our internal and external product users.

Skills & Requirements - While not a mandatory or exhaustive list, ideal candidates will have several of the following:

•    Three (3) to Six (6) years of experience in Software Design, Development, and Test and Evaluation to include four (4) years of programming experience.
•    Three (3) years of experience, to include: Database development, Web page design, .NET tools and .Net Integrated Development Environment tools, C#, ASP.Net, SQL Server 2013 - 2016, and HTML, CSS.
•    Candidate should have demonstrated competence programming in imperative, and logic programming languages.  
•    Experience with relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server, SQL back-end tuning
•    Understanding of Microsoft SQL Reporting Services SSRS
•    Understanding of Unit testing, Test-Driven Development and mocking frameworks
•    Understanding of REST principles, Service-oriented architecture and API development
•    Ability to demonstrate effective and open communication and collaboration
•    Understanding of continuous delivery principles and processes
•    Candidate can engage in self-directed work as well as participating in a larger team.
•    Original thought and strong creative problem-solving skills are a must.
•    Effective written and oral communication skills and keen attention to detail.
•    Applicants selected will be required to complete a satisfactory background check.

Experience that would be beneficial but not required:

•    Developing in the MS Dynamics 365 CRM Tool or the SalesForce CRM platform
•    Familiarity with financial terms and language
•    Prior experience as a developer in the financial services industry
•    Functional, and Parallel programming languages (Paradigms, but more specifically get into the “how”, or the “structure” of the code)
•    Experience with –
o    Linux
o    Multiple programming languages
o    Writing software test plans, test cases and experience with manual testing in black-box, white-box or grey-box.

Responsibilities

1.    Applies standard programming procedures and detailed knowledge of pertinent subject matter in a programming area such as a well-defined statistical or scientific problem; or other standardized operation or problem.
2.    Works according to approved statements of requirements and detailed specifications.
3.    Recognizes probable interactions of other related programs with the assigned program(s) and is familiar with related system software and computer equipment, and solves conventional programming problems.
4.    Performs such duties as developing, modifying, and maintaining assigned programs, designing and implementing modifications to the interrelation of files and records within programs in consultations with higher level staff.
5.    Monitors the operation of assigned programs and responds to problems by diagnosing and correcting errors in logic and coding; implements and/or maintains assigned portions of a programming project, applying established programming techniques.
6.    Tests, documents work, writes and maintains operator instructions for assigned programs, and confers with other personnel to obtain or provide factual data.
7.    Job tasks may require the incumbent to analyze present performance of the program and take action to correct deficiencies based on discussion with the user and consultation with and approval of the supervisor or higher-level staff.
8.    Assist in the review and analysis of detailed program specifications, and in program design to meet changes in work processes.
