You would be working with some of the top software engineering minds in the area.  They are technology agnostic, this job description does not tell the whole picture of the type of high caliber full stack technical candidate that the client is looking for so the notes below are relevant to the culture, environment and exciting challenging projects this Technical Architect will get to work on.
We are looking for previous Software Engineers, Team Leads, Architects or BI/Big Data Architects that have a strong background in full stack coding and might be looking to get into architecture or are currently software architects.  Candidates that are passionate about technology and bringing cutting edge solutions to the table in an architect and team lead role.  Hands on coding will be required on occasion but does not have to be in a particular stack.  We are focused on finding that special someone that just eats, lives and breathes tech, wants to solve problems and comes up with innovative ways to do that.  Critical thinking, decision making, consulting and problem solving.  
The ideal candidate would have come from a .NET or Java or Web JavaScript background or from a variety of technical tools, not stuck on one technology to get the job done.  Open minded about all languages and bringing out of the box thinking to deliver software based solutions.

A Technical Architect will be assigned to 2-3 teams doing different projects and bringing new strategies to the table.  Each team consists of a Technical Team Lead, 1 Sr. Software Engineer, 1-2 Mid to Jr. Software Engineers and a QA member.

Our client is focused on cutting edge technology projects and getting into facial recognition, video analysis, audio analysis, text analytics with, volumes of comments, location inference, sensory data, using .Net, Java, Python, Teradata, Hadoop, SQL Server, Phoenix, Hive, Mongo, Postgres
  • Designs top level reference architectures and solution architectures for new and existing products.
  • Designs and leads the implementation of scalable, reusable, service oriented frameworks.
  • Serves as a technical lead for engineering teams.
  • Collaborates with product managers, business stakeholders, infrastructure stakeholders, engineers, and IT managers to create strategic, innovative software solutions.
  • Assists with code reviews and engineering governance to ensure uniform implementation of coding standards and processes.
  • Responsible for diagnosing and solving roadblocks with critical systems.
  • Responsible for the monitoring, scaling, and build out of existing infrastructure
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related, or the equivalent through a combination of education and related work experience.
  • Overall 8 plus years experience in technology design, development, implementation and support functions.
  • 2+ years development experience with MVC and WCF.
  • 3 years experience with SQL Server relational database systems.
  • Experience with multi-lingual, localized applications.
  • Experience working cross functionally to deliver solutions for technical, procedural, and operational issues.
  • Experience with a diverse set of platforms and technologies, as well as, experience with structured methods and the software development life cycle.
  • Experience developing n-tier solutions utilizing object modeling or domain driven design.
  • Ability to develop creative solutions.
  • Demonstrated mastery of advanced data structures and algorithm development and analysis.
  • Experience managing delivery of large complex systems
  • Ability to work with limited direct supervision.
  • In depth experience within one or more technical domains such as development technologies or tools, programming languages, DBMS technologies, hardware platforms, operating systems, security, applications, or messaging.
  • Demonstrated research, analytical, critical thinking, decision-making, consulting and problem solving skills.
  • Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Degree in Computer Science or related program
  • Experience building application programming interfaces (API’s) or SaaS platforms for business to business integration.
  • Experience designing and building BI solutions using data warehouses and cubes.
  • Experience with Teradata.
  • Experience with non-relational data technologies, such as MongoDB and Hadoop.
  • Effective presentation skills.
  • Experience with master data management and data quality services or equivalent.
  • Experience with windows server environments, load balancers and other infrastructure related technologies.
  • Project management skills including ability to manage and prioritize multiple and conflicting priorities, organization skills, planning skills.
  • 2 years development experience with mobile platforms.
