BENEFITS MANAGER - Fueling Service Solutions
D&H United Fueling Solutions is seeking a Benefits Manager for our 750 Person Organization. As a critical high impact employee within our Human Resources team, you will lead the day-to-day administration of benefit programs for our workforce across multiple divisions, brands and locations.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
Your expertise will be critical in ensuring our programs remain competitive and attractive to employees while supporting the overall success of the company.
This role will impact D&H United’s goals and objectives through oversight of the day-to-day administration of benefit programs including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, life, disability, FSA, Retirement Savings, LOA’s and claims processing.
• You will be responsible for developing cost control procedures that ensure maximum coverage with cost-effective outcomes for both the company and our valued employees.
• Manage relationships with brokers, consultants, and benefit vendors including BC/BS ensuring service levels and return on investment.
• Contribute to the Total Compensation strategy and goals by helping with the planning and execution of benefit strategy, recommending measures that support the health and well-being of our team members, providing employee attraction and retention value while containing costs.
• Conduct budgeting and financial analysis of benefits programs. Target and evaluate opportunities for high impact benefits program changes. Ensure accurate forecasts and calculations of expenditures for budget planning and tracking.
• Ensure all compliance requirements are maintained, tested, and audited, including HIPAA, ERISA, ACA, 1094/1095, COBRA, 401(k) audits, non-discrimination testing, and form 5500’s.
• Partner to design and oversee company-wide wellbeing campaigns, programs, and activities to promote employee engagement and to help attract and retain talent.
• Educate and mentor HR Partners to guide them in their support of our team members.
• Manage communication efforts and tools for team members to be well informed.
• Oversee intranet content management.
• Ensure efficient administration of benefit plans.
• Independently provide vision, decision-making, and implementation for best practices.
ABOUT YOU:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• SHRM or CEBS Certification.
• 5+ years of experience in benefits management for large employers.
• Possess an in-depth understanding of self-funded insurance plans and related claims management for multi-division, multi-brand, field service organizations.
• Strong ownership of and functional understanding of complex benefit and wellness programs and processes.
• Functional HR knowledge and understanding of best practices when it comes to employee transactions, events, and lifecycle.
• Proven business acumen to understand cross functional dependencies.
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple parallel tasks concurrently to meet deadlines, balancing conflicting demands.
• Ability to balance daily support for escalated issues as well as drive new initiatives.
