This position will lead and direct the routine functions of the Human Resources (HR) department including employee engagement, employee relations, talent acquisition, talent management (employee development, performance reviews, etc.), and total compensation (benefits, programs, compensation).
Our client provides industry-standard parts to engineers and industrial equipment buyers in a myriad of industries including automotive, furniture, appliance, medical, and aerospace.
Responsibilities:
Act as a strategic Human Resources partner and consult with the leadership team on all HR matters; drive employee engagement and hiring strategy for key initiatives. Develop and lead top-performing Human Resources (HR) team. Coach, mentor, and develop HR team members. Partner with Chief Administrative Officer on key HR projects and initiatives.
As the leader of Employee Relations, develop relationships with a multicultural workforce to help build employee engagement, evaluate, and resolve issues.
Lead further development of recruiting strategies for Austin and St. Louis locations. Support the design and implementation of cost-effective and “best in class” recruiting and retention strategies.
Establish employee relations toolkit for Austin and St. Louis locations and coach HR team members. Provide coaching and direction to managers as needed.
Manage benefits plans and programs; partner with consultants as needed. Explore optional benefits, health savings accounts, etc.
Partner with Chief Administrative Officer to execute talent management program; establish new employee experience, continue succession planning discussions.
Lead yearly performance review and compensation process. Coach and train leaders as needed. Partner with CAO and CFO on compensation review project.
Assist with the Job Grading Project, and partner with President and leaders to match employees to appropriate roles.
Investigate and manage any worker’s compensation matters, partnering with outside vendors as needed.
Handle any sensitive HR matters; investigate, coach, and counsel as needed. Partner with an Employment Law attorney as needed.
Manage the PayScale Compensation tool and maximize utilization.
Manage HRIS system, Paycor. Manage relationship with Paycor team, identify and recommend additional components.
Assist with the final review of new policies and procedures and implementation. Identify opportunities for further change.
Review, evaluate, and respond to all unemployment claims.
Produce EEO reports on a yearly basis.
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations.
Ensure company follows all appropriate OSHA recommendations and guidelines.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5+ years of progressive experience in Human Resources
Experience leading a small team, and/or mentoring/developing others.
Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred but NOT required
