REMOTE Direct-Hire

Salary:  $150K - $250K base


Summary:

Looking for an exceptional hands-on technical leader that can operate across front-end, backend, APIs, and works great with product managers to manage, plan, design, and execute solutions.  Will lead the drive to identify the right system, application design changes, and can turn chaos/complex ambiguity into technical paths forward. Additionally, will create a plan, design, and break problems down across tech components, and help steer tech choices that set things up for enterprise/larger scale.
 
Our client delivers industry-leading security policy management, cloud security operations, and cybersecurity asset management solutions to over 1,700 enterprises in nearly 70 countries.

Responsibilities:
  • Work with Product Managers, Architects, Software Engineers, and QE Engineers to design and deliver technology solutions for best-in-class websites, applications, and systems integrations.
  • Provide ongoing management of live systems in collaboration with product managers, client customer service and Quality Assurance resources internally. That includes answering emails and delegating emergency work to Engineers off-hours and weekends.
  • Conceive, plan, and estimate large-scale projects and work with Architects to determine work breakdown. Manage technology delivery team consisting of any and all Technology roles
  • Provide leadership in the development and implementation of short- and long-term technology plans and related policies and procedures.
  • Help teams avoid pitfalls of inexperience such as unrealistic promises, excessive focus on perfection at the expense of “good enough,” inability to scale application up with load, and lack of accounting for unexpected or unknown setbacks.
  • Act as visionary and strategist for business-driven technical solutions.
  • Interface and coordinate activities with both internal and external technical resources.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers to provision estimates, develop overall implementation solution plan and serve as lead as required.
  • Oversee aspects of project life cycle from initial kickoff through requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, and deployment phases for projects within solution area.
  • Keep abreast of technical projects within the company and be able to discuss those projects by way of technical capabilities to existing and prospective clients.
  • Provide technical review to help ensure projects meet cost, benefit, timeliness, and integration goals.

  • Identifies the practical implications of new technologies
  • Solicits constructive input from and build consensus among groups and constituencies with differing priorities and perspectives
  • Develops new policies and policy changes as needed, exercise independent judgment in problem solving, remain objective and represent differing points of view
  • Identifies the practical implications of new technologies and relate system capabilities to business goals
  • Consults with product managers to share technology-related knowledge, business process enhancements and best practices
  • Skills and experience in developing, managing, and executing short- and long-range technology plans and transitioning and transforming the delivery of information-based services through the use of innovative strategies
Preferred skills/experience:
  • Experience in information security and networking
  • Understanding of firewalls (Cisco, Juniper, Check Point, Palo Alto, etc)
