LOCATION:  Mission, Kansas 66202 OR Remote USA
TERMS:  Perm / Direct Hire
SALARY RANGE:  Depending on Role and Level Competitive Salary, Bonus, Equity Package
STATUS: Exempt W2 Citizen/Green Card
KEY TECHNOLOGIES: Java (Design Patterns), MVC, Ruby, Rails, AWS, S3, REST API’s, PostgreSQL, MySQL, GIT, GitHub, GitFlow, CodeShip, Elastic Search, Heroku, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML/CSS, jQuery, JSON and RSpec for testing

RESPONSIBILITIES 
  • Write   clean, maintainable   and   efficient   code
  • Design   robust, scalable   and   secure   features
  • Contribute   in   all   phases   of   the   SDLC
  • Follow the Client's design   and   development   best   practices   
TECHNICAL   REQUIREMENTS 
  • 3+   years’ experience   as   a   Ruby   on   Rails   web   application   developer
  • Solid   understanding   of   MVC (Model View Controller), ORM (Object Relational Mapping), ActiveRecord Patterns, and RESTful.
  • Experience   using   front-end   technologies (JavaScript, HTML/CSS, jQuery, JSON)
  • Experience   using   relational   databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL)
  • Experience with AWS Services and Heroku running on AWS
  • Front-End UI exposure with React would be a plus
  • Proficient   understanding   of   code   versioning   tools (Git, GitFlow, GitHub)
  • Proficient understanding of CI/CD tools (CodeShip)
  • Experience   following   design   best   practices
  • Knowledge   of   resource-based   routing
  • Knowledge   of   SDLC   best   practices
  • Knowledge   of   unit   testing   frameworks   such   as   RSpec  
 NON-TECHNICAL   REQUIREMENTS 
  • Self-starter, able   to   work   with   minimal   direction
  • Strong   written   and   verbal   communication   skills
  • Ability   to   cross   the   technical/business   line
  • Strong   time-management   skills
  • Ability   to   work   in   a   dynamic   environment
  • Passion   for   writing   great, simple, clean, efficient code
  • Ability   to   give   direction   and   willingness   to   accept   direction
PREFERRED 
  • Degree   in   Computer   Science, Engineering   or   related   field
