After launching their Indexed Risk Control™ strategies to the ERISA market in early 2020, our client seeks to follow up their success with the launch of a flagship investment strategy as an ETF offering in 2021, completing our channel availability with a public offering. In this role, you’ll work with company executives and owners from a variety of internal teams – including product marketing, portfolio management, and business development – to organize a path to success and ultimately deliver results. After successfully enabling our distribution efforts with a publicly available solution, you’ll be responsible for crafting the roadmap for expanding our product lineup for investors, financial advisors, and institutional clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Be a founding member of a product management organization with an emerging, innovative investment manager
- Lead the launch of our flagship ETF from start to finish, then follow this up with big launches on our product roadmap enabled by this in the years ahead
- Work directly with internal stakeholders in portfolio management, product marketing, and business development to coordinate and deliver product launches on behalf of our clients
- Join a collaborative environment where creativity and innovation are our priority, utilizing the best technologies available to solve real-world problems
- Develop and maintain a project plan that results in the successful launch of our flagship ETF; Identify stakeholders and business requirements, and coordinate team members to complete tasks and ultimately deliver results on schedule
- Act as the main point of contact and subject matter expert on ETF features, trading, and distribution
- Provide product expertise related to ETF mechanics including creation/redemption, pricing, and operational nuances of various fund structures
- Identify institutional use cases for our ETFs by working alongside various sales and trading teams
- Partner with product marketing to develop ETF content, commentary, and sales ideas to support distribution
- Build and maintain relationships with ETF vendors and service providers to promote product quality and growth
- Participate in client and industry events and conferences to promote ETF solutions
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; 5+ years of experience in financial services, with 2+ years, dedicated ETF experience required
- First-hand experience in launching an ETF product to market, or technical experience supporting a core function of ETF operations (e.g. creation/redemption)
- Deep knowledge of ETF mechanics, including the factors that drive pricing, distribution scale, and liquidity
- Excellent project management skills and attention to detail; experience with Asana or similar workforce collaboration tool preferred
- Excellent communicator, with experience presenting to senior leaders and clients
- Highly organized and self-motivated, with good analytical, research, and writing skills
- A deep sense of ownership and the ability to collaborate with multiple teams and stakeholders to drive projects and initiatives
- A willingness to dive deep into tough problems, be challenged, and deliver results against your commitments
Preferred Qualifications
- First-degree relationships with key ETF market participants a plus
- Multi-asset knowledge, including fixed income and derivatives preferred (options)
- Strong technical skills (Excel, Bloomberg, etc.)
- Series 7 and 63 preferred
- CFA, MBA, or advanced degree preferred
