Staff Accountant

Duration:  Full Time / Direct-Hire

Salary:  $65,000 base

This individual will contribute to the day to day operations of the accounting and finance team by ​maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledgers and performing general bookkeeping. The accountant will also assist in collecting and presenting information for analysis by the leadership and executive teams.
  • Prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling account information
  • Document financial transactions by entering account information
  • Summarize current financial status by collecting information, preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports
  • Substantiate financial transactions by auditing documents
  • Manage the preparation of cash flow reconciliations and forecasts
  • Manage the Accounts Payable process and ensure that the company takes advantage of any available discounts and arranging timely payment
  • Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information
  • Reconcile monthly credit card activity by collecting and analyzing receipts
  • Maintain accounting controls by following, preparing, and recommending policies and procedures
  • Assist with annual external tax and audit projects as needed
  • Assist with additional projects as needed
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
  • At least 2 years of experience in an accounting role
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, planning, organizing, and time management skills
  • Track record of problem solving, strategic thinking and working with high-level business partners
  • Self-starter with ability to multitask and prioritize projects
  • Excellent communication skills and focus on teamwork
  • Eagerness to continue to learn and grow
